Description
Restraints help to avoid the movement of the packed bed in case of strong gas flow, a hydraulic impact, or a serious malfunctions in operation. In addition, the pressure gratings protect the random packing from damage and prevent fluidization.
Packing limiter is used with plastic and metal pressure gratings. The limiters don’t rest on the nozzle, but are attached to the column using support rings and bolts. Alternatively, they can be connected by tie strips to a liquid distributor. The development of limiters is carried out separately for each specific case.
